Winter of Code is here to light up your winter spirits with the wide world of open source development. This initiative aims to improve the coding and Development culture in IIITT. Join us for a month-long programming project with an open-source organization.
As a part of the Winter of Code, students are paired with mentors for respective projects. This initiative aims at developing your skills in real-world software development in a wide range of specializations. . Above all, we hope you get encouraged into the world of open source and develop more code for the benefit of all.

A Portal to display upcoming competitions in Development or Competitive Programming
A consistent and reliable application to conduct Voting throughout the institute
An application that fetches any user's github data and presents it visual format.
A portal for students to upload their notes or previous exam papers online.
A platform for Class Representative to announce any changes or updates to the class schedule or any important announcements.

Students : Interested students can register for the Winter of Code. Then the students are paired with a mentor as per the prefernces . If accepted, students integrate with their mentor prior to the start of coding,to learn the required technoloogies and discuss the project architecture . Students then have the month to code, meeting the deadlines agreed upon with their mentors.
Mentors : Mentors supervise the participants with respect to the project structure and development.They review student code samples multiple times to give feedback and determine if the students have successfully completed their Winter of Code 2019 project. Students are then notified of the pass/fail status and schwags are delivered to successful students.Mentors and students work together to determine milestones of Winter Of Code.
